 INCIDENTS REPORTED:

Between 11 PM, Monday, 12/08/14 and 7:40 AM, Tuesday, 12/09/14, a 2006 Ford pick-up was taken without permission from the 600 block Poplar St.
There were 3 thefts from parked vehicles reported this week: 600 N. 6th St, 436 Brown St, 100 Brown St
There was 1 theft of a bicycle reported this week: 883 N. 5th St

26TH DISTRICT CRIME REPORT 12/10/14 – 12/16/14

 

Below is a breakdown of crimes committed in the 26th District in the neighborhoods that make up Front to 6th and Poplar to Girard

There was One (1) Aggravated Assault other weapon during this time : 600 Girard (12/15)- One school student struck another with a stick

There was One (1) residential burglaries during this period : 900 New Market (12/10)

There were Six (6) theft from autos during this period: 900 American (12/12), 900 New Market (12/13), 1000 Hope (12/13), 100 Richmond (12/14), 1100 4th (12/15), 100 W Girard (12/15)

There were Two (2) stolen vehicles during this time : 1200 5th (12/10), 1000 6th (12/16)

There was One (1) thefts during this period : 1000 2nd (12/15)

INCIDENTS REPORTED TO THE 6TH DISTRICT 12/1/14 – 12/7/14

INCIDENTS REPORTED:

There were 3 thefts from parked vehicles reported this week: 600 N. Hancock St, 847 N. Lawrence St, 631 N. 2nd St
ARRESTS REPORTED:
On Monday, 12/01/14, 2:03 AM, 6th district police responded to a disturbance outside Front & brown Sts. involving a male and female arguing.  The officers separated them, the male attempted to go towards the female, as Officer Crichton step in front of him the male punched the officer in the face   After a struggle the male was taken into custody with the assistance of other officers.  The 22 year old offender with a local address was charged with Assault on Police and related offenses.   
On Friday, 12/05/14, 10:10 PM, 6th District plain clothes officers Kovach and Calhoun, assigned to the Northern Liberties area, observed a male cut a hole in the fence of a construction site at 801 N. 2nd St.  The officers set up a surveillance and at 12:20 AM, they saw the same male exit the construction site and with 5, 25′ lengths of cooper pipe.  The officers identified themselves and the male attempted to run, but was quickly apprehended.  The owner was notified and the pipes returned.  The 34 year old offender with an Elkins Park, Pa. address was charged with Theft and related offenses.
On Saturday, 12/06/14, 6th District officers issued 2 citations for Public Urinationoutside 100 Spring Garden St. at 2:35 AM.

26TH DISTRICT CRIME REPORT 12/3/14 – 12/9/14

Below is a breakdown of crimes committed in the 26th District in the neighborhoods that make up Poplar to Girard and Front to 6th

There was One (1) robberies other weapon during this time : 600 Girard (12/5)- 4 PM Compl was asked for change when she took out her wallet offender snatched the wallet and fled

There was One (1) theft from autos during this period: 1000 Front (12/6)

There was One (1) stolen vehicles during this time : 900 Front (12/6)

There were Six (6) thefts during this period : 900 5th (12/3) 12 PM UPS left a package and a unk person took it

INCIDENTS REPORTED TO THE 6TH DISTRICT 11/24/14 – 11/30/14

The below incidents in the Northern Liberties area were recently reported to the 6th District: Mon 11/24/14 to Sun 11/30/14.

INCIDENTS REPORTED:

On Monday, 11/24/14, 10:12 PM, complainant returned to his residence in the 800 block N. 5th St. from walking his dog and saw a male flee from the rear yard. Upon investigating, the rear patio door glass was found to have been smashed, no entry was gained and nothing was taken. The offender was described as a black male 50 years, grey beard, thin build, wearing a blue hoodie. 6th District Officer Wimsey was unable to lift latent fingerprints.

INCIDENTS REPORTED TO THE 6TH DISTRICT 11/17/14 – 11/23/14

INCIDENTS REPORTED: 

On Thursday, 11/20/14, 2:30 PM, complainant used the ATM at 6th & Spring Garden Sts and was approached by a male stating he was from South Africa and showed him a large amount of money in a bandana and asked for directions informing the complainant he would give him $100 if he helped him.  A second male approached and stated he wanted to get $100 also for helping and they all walked east on Spring Garden St.  At 200 Spring Garden St. the first male asked the complainant for his ATM card and the complainant was reluctant, the second male then simulated having a weapon and demanded the ATM card and $20.  The males took it and fled.  They were described as black males, #1-50-55 years, 5’10″ 160 lbs, mustache, wearing a hat and dark coat, #2-30-35 years, 5’9″, 190 lbs, wearing a beanie hat, dark blue Dickie pants, green & whit flannel shirt.  What started out as a Flim-Flam ended up being a mugging.  Please be aware of scams like this.
ARRESTS REPORTED:
On Friday, 11/21/14, 6th District officers issued a citation for Underage Drinking outside 520 N. Delaware Ave. at 10:10 PM.

There was One (1) residential burglaries during this period : 1200 Leithgow (11/19),

There were Two (2) theft from autos during this period: 1000 New Market (11/19), 1000 3rd (11/22)

There were Two (2) thefts during this period : 1000 2nd (11/22)- 10 AM compl observed employee take bank bag put under his jacket and leave

900 2nd (11/23)- 1 AM Compl left her wallet on a table and when she returned it was missing.

Below is a breakdown of crimes committed in the 26th District in the neighborhoods that make up Front to 6th and Poplar to Girard

There was One (1) robbery-point of gun during this time : 900 5th (11/12) 10 PM- Compl was approached by a male who pointed a silver handgun and said “I don’t care I’ll kill you give me your stuff” and then fled without taking anything

There was One (1) Aggravated Assault other weapon during this time : 900 4th (11/16)- 1AM compl was on the steps when 4 males approached and began to punch him then flee the area

There were Four (4) theft from autos during this period: 100 W Girard (11/13), 900 Front (11/16), 100 Ellen (11/16), 1000 Front (11/16)

There were One (1) stolen vehicles during this time : 300 W Cambridge (11/15)

INCIDENTS REPORTED TO THE 6TH DISTRICT 11/10/14 – 11/16/14

INCIDENTS REPORTED:

There was 1 theft from a parked vehicle reported this week: 01 Fairmount Ave.
There was 1 theft of a bicycle reported this week: 622 N. 2nd St.
ARRESTS REPORTED:
On Monday, 11/10/14, 8:30 AM, 6th District Officer Keller arrested a male wanted for failure to appear in court outside 520 N. Delaware Ave. The 35 year old offender with a North Phila. address was charged with Contempt of Court.
On Tuesday, 11/11/14, 8:20 PM, 6th District plain clothes officers assigned to the Northern Liberties area observed a male walking in the 700 block N. 2nd St. looking into parked cars and set up a surveillance. Minutes later they observed the male smash a window of a 2011 Ford and climb in through the broken window, taking sunglasses and a cell phone.  The male was apprehended and the owner notified, all items were recovered.   The 38 year old offender with a North Phila. address wascharged with Theft From Motor Vehicle.
On Friday, 11/14/14, 6th District officers issued a citation for Public Urination outside 100 Spring Garden St. at 10:25 PM.
On Saturday, 11/15/14, 10:05 PM ,6th District Officers Cash and Hill stopped a vehicle for traffic violations in the 500 block Green St.  The operator appeared to be intoxicated and was unlicensed to drive.  The 37 year old offender with a Camden N.J. address was charged with D.U.I. and his vehiclewas impounded.

November 5, 2014- November 11, 2014
Below is a breakdown of crimes committed in the 26th District in the neighborhoods that make up Front to 6th and Poplar to Girard

There were Four (4) robberies other weapon during this time : 500 W Girard (11/5)-2 AM Coml states that while walking he was held up from behind by a male while a female went through his pockets and took money

There were Four (4) theft from autos during this period: 900 Front (11/9) x 2, 1000 Hancock (11/10), 900 New Market (11/10)

There were One (1) thefts during this period : 900 5th (11/8)- 11 PM Compl states that she took off her rings and later on that day noticed they were missing. Compl is having work done to her house and has had workers in the house.
