26TH DISTRICT CRIME REPORT 11/12/14 – 11/18/14

Below is a breakdown of crimes committed in the 26th District in the neighborhoods that make up Front to 6th and Poplar to Girard

There was One (1) robbery-point of gun during this time : 900 5th (11/12) 10 PM- Compl was approached by a male who pointed a silver handgun and said “I don’t care I’ll kill you give me your stuff” and then fled without taking anything

There was One (1) Aggravated Assault other weapon during this time : 900 4th (11/16)- 1AM compl was on the steps when 4 males approached and began to punch him then flee the area

There were Four (4) theft from autos during this period: 100 W Girard (11/13), 900 Front (11/16), 100 Ellen (11/16), 1000 Front (11/16)

There were One (1) stolen vehicles during this time : 300 W Cambridge (11/15)

INCIDENTS REPORTED TO THE 6TH DISTRICT 11/10/14 – 11/16/14

INCIDENTS REPORTED:

There was 1 theft from a parked vehicle reported this week: 01 Fairmount Ave.
There was 1 theft of a bicycle reported this week: 622 N. 2nd St.
ARRESTS REPORTED:
On Monday, 11/10/14, 8:30 AM, 6th District Officer Keller arrested a male wanted for failure to appear in court outside 520 N. Delaware Ave. The 35 year old offender with a North Phila. address was charged with Contempt of Court.
On Tuesday, 11/11/14, 8:20 PM, 6th District plain clothes officers assigned to the Northern Liberties area observed a male walking in the 700 block N. 2nd St. looking into parked cars and set up a surveillance. Minutes later they observed the male smash a window of a 2011 Ford and climb in through the broken window, taking sunglasses and a cell phone.  The male was apprehended and the owner notified, all items were recovered.   The 38 year old offender with a North Phila. address wascharged with Theft From Motor Vehicle.
On Friday, 11/14/14, 6th District officers issued a citation for Public Urination outside 100 Spring Garden St. at 10:25 PM.
On Saturday, 11/15/14, 10:05 PM ,6th District Officers Cash and Hill stopped a vehicle for traffic violations in the 500 block Green St.  The operator appeared to be intoxicated and was unlicensed to drive.  The 37 year old offender with a Camden N.J. address was charged with D.U.I. and his vehiclewas impounded.

26th District Crime Report

November 5, 2014- November 11, 2014
Below is a breakdown of crimes committed in the 26th District in the neighborhoods that make up Front to 6th and Poplar to Girard

There were Four (4) robberies other weapon during this time : 500 W Girard (11/5)-2 AM Coml states that while walking he was held up from behind by a male while a female went through his pockets and took money

There were Four (4) theft from autos during this period: 900 Front (11/9) x 2, 1000 Hancock (11/10), 900 New Market (11/10)

There were One (1) thefts during this period : 900 5th (11/8)- 11 PM Compl states that she took off her rings and later on that day noticed they were missing. Compl is having work done to her house and has had workers in the house.

INCIDENTS REPORTED TO THE 6TH DISTRICT 11/3/14 – 11/09/14

The below incidents in the Northern Liberties area were recently reported to the 6th District: Mon 11/03/14 to Sun 11/09/14.

INCIDENTS REPORTED:
On Saturday, 11/08/14, 6:12 AM police responded to a call at the Auto Body Shop, 518 N. 2nd St.and found the front window smashed.  A K-9 unit was sent into the property to search for intruders with negative results, nothing was reported taken from inside.
On Saturday, 11/08/14, 9:55 PM, complainant’s got out of their car in the 200 block Green St. and were accosted by a male with a gun who demanded and took their I-Phones.  The offender fled on foot, north on 2nd St. and was described as a black male, 30′s, wearing a dark hoodie with yellow letters on the back.
There was 1 theft from a parked vehicle reported this week: 401 Spring Garden St.
ARRESTS REPORTED:
On Thursday, 11/06/14, Septa police arrested a male wanted for Failure to Appear in Court outsideFront & Spring Garden Sts. at 4:45 AM,  The 36 year old offender with an East Oak Lane address was charged with Contempt of Court.
On Saturday, 11/08/14, 1:05 PM, complainant was sitting on steps outside 4th & Green Sts. when 2 males walked up and asked for change then pulled out a BB gun and pointed it a the complainant and took a cell phone.  6th District Officers Keller and Romanczuk stopped the offenders at 5th & Green and recovered the cell phone and the BB gun. An 18 year old offender with an Olney address and a 17 year old offender with a North Phila. address were charged with Robbery and related offenses.
On Saturday, 11/08/14, 6th District Officers issued a citation for Public Urination outside 100 Fairmount Ave. at 11:17 PM

The below incidents in the Northern Liberties area were recently reported to the 6th District: Mon 10/20/14 to Sun 10/26/14.

INCIDENTS REPORTED:

There were 2 thefts from parked vehicles reported this week: 822 N. American St, 100 Fairmount Ave.

ARRESTS REPORTED:

On Tuesday, 10/21/14, 9:30 AM, a 14 year old student at Kearney School, 601 Fairmount Ave was punched by another student. The 14 year old offender was charged with Assault.

On Friday, 10/24/14, 6th District officers issued 2 citations for Public Urination outside 100 Spring Garden St. at 11:20 PM.

On Saturday, 10/25/14, 6th District officers issued citations for Public Urination outside 200 Spring Garden St. at 12:35 AM and outside 500 N. Delaware Ave. at 11:40 PM.

On Sunday, 10/26/14, 6th District officers issued a citation for Public Urination outside 100 Spring Garden St. at 2:10 AM.

There were Seven (7) theft from autos during this period: 1100 Howard (10/22), 500 W Girard (10/23), 500 Poplar (10/23), 900 6th (10/25), 1100 Front (10/25), 900 2nd (10/27), 1000 Hancock (10/27)

INCIDENTS REPORTED TO THE 6TH DISTRICT 10/11/14 – 10/19/14

The below incidents in the Northern Liberties area were recently reported to the 6th District: Mon 10/13/14 to Sun 10/19/14.

INCIDENTS REPORTED:

Between 5 PM, Saturday, 10/11/14 and 10 AM, Monday, 10/13/14, a house under construction in the 100 block Fairmount Ave. had copper and wire taken without permission. 6th District Officer Witherspoon attempted to lift latent fingerprints.

On Tuesday, 10/14/14, 9:45 AM, keys were left inside a Chevy van outside 95 Fairmount Ave. and it was taken without permission.

On Saturday, 10/18/14, 12:15 AM, complainant was punched while in the 800 block N. Hancock St. and had a purse and I-Phone taken by a black male, thin build on a bicycle, no other description. Complainant declined to be interviewed or view suspect photos at Central Detective division.

There were 6 thefts from parked vehicles reported this week: 121 Brown St, 800 N. 3rd St, 200 Fairmount Ave, 854 N. 6th St, 02 Fairmount Ave, 600 Beach St

ARRESTS REPORTED:

On Thursday, 10/16/14, 6th District officers issued citations for Public Urination outside 800 N. Delaware Ave. at 10:30 PM and outside 800 N. Penn St. at 11:10 PM.

On Friday, 10/17/14, 6th District officers issued a citation for Public Urination outside 101 Fairmount Ave. at 9:35 PM

There was One (1) robberies other weapon during this time : 100 W Girard (10/16)- 4 AM Male approached compl and reached for his waistband and said I know you have something to give me and cook compl purse then fled

There was One (1) residential burglaries during this period : 900 New Market (10/20)

There was One (1) theft from autos during this period: 900 Front (10/21)

There was One (1) stolen vehicles during this time : 900 3rd (10/18)

The below incidents in the Northern Liberties area were recently reported to the 6th District: Mon 09/29/14 to Sun 10/05/14.

INCIDENTS REPORTED:
On Monday, 09/29/14, 7:50 PM, a male followed the complainant south on 2nd St. from Poplar and when outside 721 N. 2nd St. he attempted to snatch an I-Phone from the complainant’s hand but was unsuccessful.  The offender fled south and was described as dark skinned, possibly Middle Eastern male wearing a long white shirt and jeans.
On Wednesday, 10/01/14, 5:35 PM, outside 100 Spring Garden St, complainant reported that 2 males punched him and demanded his cell phone, complainant refused and the males fled in a grey Toyota, west on Spring Garden St. The offenders were described only as 2 white males.  The complainant refused to cooperate any further.
On Sunday, 10/05/14, 2:10 AM, complainant left the night club and was walking in the 100 block Fairmount Ave. when 4 black males, all medium height, no further description, struck him on the head with a handgun and took his wallet, cell phone and necklace.  The offenders fled in a black Jeep.
There was 1 theft from a parked vehicle reported this week: 01 Brown St.
ARRESTS REPORTED:
On Wednesday, 10/01/14, between 3 PM and 3:15 PM, complainant secured a bicycle outside 300 Spring Garden St. that had a purse with a cell phone in the side saddle that was taken.  The complainant called her phone and arranged to buy it back at 25th & Fairmount Ave.  Policewere contacted and took the male into custody and recovered her phone.  The 52 year old offender with a North Phila. address was charged with Theft.
On Friday, 10/03/14, 6th District officers issued citations for Public Urination outside 600 N. Front St. at 9:30 PM and outside 500 N. Delaware Ave. at 11:05 PM. 4 citations for Underage Drinkingwere issued in the 600 block N. Beach St. between 10:10 PM and 10:55 PM.
On Saturday, 10/04/14, 6th District officers issued a citation for Open Container of Alcoholoutside 500 N. Front St. at 11:10 PM.
