INCIDENTS REPORTED TO THE 6TH DISTRICT 1/12/14 – 1/18/14

The below incidents in the Northern Liberties area were recently reported to the 6th District: Mon 01/12/14 to Sun 01/18/15.

INCIDENTS REPORTED:
Between 9 PM, Friday, 01/16/15 and 6:10 PM, Saturday, 01/17/15, a 1994 Chevy, parked in the100 block Fairmount Ave. was taken without permission.
On Saturday, 01/17/15, an I-Phone was taken from inside the Foodery, 839 N. 2nd St. by a black male, 50 years, 5’10″, 200 lbs, medium complexion, wearing a tan jacket, tan pants, wht sneaks.  The phone was tracked to the area of 500 Master St. where it was recovered by police and returned to the owner.
There were 5 thefts from parked vehicles reported this week: 01 Brown St, 800 N. 4th St, 880 N. Lawrence St, 443 Fairmount Ave, 604 N. 2nd St.

INCIDENTS REPORTED TO THE 6TH DISTRICT 1/5/15 – 1/11/15

INCIDENTS REPORTED:

On Wednesday, 01/07/15, between 10 AM and 6:15 PM, (not reported until 01/08/15), laptops and a jar of change was taken from an apartment in the 600 block N. 2nd St., there was no forced entry into the property.  6th District P/O Washington attempted to lift latent fingerprints.
On Saturday, 01/10/15, 5:10 PM, an employee assaulted his employer inside the cafe, 719 N. 2nd St. causing injury. The male left the scene before police were contacted. Central Detective Division has the offender’s information and is investigating.
There were 0 thefts from parked vehicles reported this week:
There was 1 theft of a bicycle reported this week: 712 N. 2nd St.
ARRESTS REPORTED:
On Friday, 01/09/15, 3:10 AM, thanks to a concerned citizen who made a 911 call, 6th District Officers Moore and Stone, working in plain clothes, went to the area of 2nd & Poplar for a theft, they surveyed the area and they observed a male inside a parked 2008 Toyota outside 622 N. 2ndSt. rummaging through the vehicle. The male was apprehended, the owner contacted, all itemswere recovered and returned.  The 53 year old homeless offender was charged with Theft From Motor Vehicle.

There were Two (2) theft from autos during this period: 300 W Girard (1/7), 1100 American (1/11)

26TH DISTRICT CRIME REPORT 1/1/15 – 1/6/15

There were Two (2) Aggravated Assault with a gun during this time :100 W Girard (1/3) x 2- two males were in a argument with two offenders who shot both compl then fled in a white sedan

There were Two (2) theft from autos during this period: 900 6th (1/2), 900 New Market (1/6)

There was One (1) stolen vehicles during this time : 1100 American (1/3)

There was One (1) thefts during this period : 1000 2nd (1/1)- 1 AM Compl was dancing and a unk person took ID case

There was One (1) thefts during this period :1000 2nd (12/28)- 6 AM 2 females left restaurant without paying their bill

INCIDENTS REPORTED TO THE 6TH DISTRICT 12/15/14 – 12/21/14

INCIDENTS REPORTED:

There were 4 thefts from parked vehicles reported this week: 418 Brown St. 414 Green St, 614 N. Front St, 699 Beach St

ARRESTS REPORTED:

On Wednesday, 12/17/14, 9:55 PM, an unmarked Highway Patrol unit working along with 6th District plain clothes officers assigned to the Northern Liberties area observed a male leaning into a window of a Honda that was pried open in the 800 block N. 3rd St. and taking items from inside. The owner was contacted and the items recovered and returned. The 47 year old homeless offender was the same offender arrested 10/30/14 for breaking into a vehicle parked outside 720 block N. 5th St, he was charged with Theft From Motor Vehicle.

On Friday, 12/19/14, 6th District officers issued 2 citations for Underage Drinking outside 500 N. Delaware Ave. at 10:30 PM.

On Saturday, 12/20/14, 6th District officers issued a citation for Public Intoxication outside 435 Spring Garden St. at 3 AM.

On Sunday, 12/21/14, 1 AM, 6th District Officer Wimsey was alerted to a male causing a disturbance in the Delilah’s Den parking lot, 100 Spring Garden St. When the officer approached the male, he struck the officer on the head with an unknown hard object. After a struggle the officer subdued the male. The 21 year old offneder with a West Phila. address was charged with Assault and related offenses, the officer was treated at a local hospital E.R. and released.

Between 11 PM, Monday, 12/08/14 and 7:40 AM, Tuesday, 12/09/14, a 2006 Ford pick-up was taken without permission from the 600 block Poplar St.

There was 1 theft of a bicycle reported this week: 883 N. 5th St

INCIDENTS REPORTED TO THE 6TH DISTRICT 12/1/14 – 12/7/14

INCIDENTS REPORTED:

There were 3 thefts from parked vehicles reported this week: 600 N. Hancock St, 847 N. Lawrence St, 631 N. 2nd St
ARRESTS REPORTED:
On Monday, 12/01/14, 2:03 AM, 6th district police responded to a disturbance outside Front & brown Sts. involving a male and female arguing.  The officers separated them, the male attempted to go towards the female, as Officer Crichton step in front of him the male punched the officer in the face   After a struggle the male was taken into custody with the assistance of other officers.  The 22 year old offender with a local address was charged with Assault on Police and related offenses.   
On Friday, 12/05/14, 10:10 PM, 6th District plain clothes officers Kovach and Calhoun, assigned to the Northern Liberties area, observed a male cut a hole in the fence of a construction site at 801 N. 2nd St.  The officers set up a surveillance and at 12:20 AM, they saw the same male exit the construction site and with 5, 25′ lengths of cooper pipe.  The officers identified themselves and the male attempted to run, but was quickly apprehended.  The owner was notified and the pipes returned.  The 34 year old offender with an Elkins Park, Pa. address was charged with Theft and related offenses.
On Saturday, 12/06/14, 6th District officers issued 2 citations for Public Urinationoutside 100 Spring Garden St. at 2:35 AM.
