INCIDENTS REPORTED TO THE 6TH DISTRICT – 6/13/11 to 6/19/11

The below incidents in the Northern Liberties area were recently reported to the 6th District:

BURGLARY
On Monday, 06/13/11, between 12 AM and 8 AM, complainant’s were asleep in their residence in the 800 block N. 5th St. and awoke to find a window screen lifted up and a laptop and purse missing from a table. Security bars on the window prevented entry into the residence, however the items were within an arms length of the window. 6th District Officer Kelly lifted latent fingerprints.

BURGLARY
On Monday, 06/13/11, between 12 AM and 2 PM,
complainant’s secured bicycle was taken from the 700 block N. American St. without permission.

BURGLARY
On Thursday, 06/16/11, between 10 AM and 4 PM,
a residence in the 800 block N. Lawrence St. was entered without force and an X-Box and laptop were taken. The complainant did leave the ground floor windows open during this time. 6th District Officer Minnis lifted latent fingerprints.

CAR THEFT
Between 7:30 AM, Wednesday, 06/15/11 and 6 PM, Thursday, 06/16/11,
out-of-town complainant’s 2000 Honda was taken without permission from the 600 block N. 2nd St.

MUGGING WITH HANDGUN AND ASSAULT
On Friday, 06/17/11, 12:45 AM,
complainant’s were walking west in the 400 block Spring Garden St. when 2 males grabbed their handbags and struggle for them. One of the complainant’s was punched and the males fled with the bags. The complainants started to chase after the offenders and one of the males pulled out a handgun and the complainants stopped chasing them.
The offenders were described as #1- black male, 20-30 years, 5’11”, stocky build, dark complexion, wearing a white T-shirt, baggy jean shorts, #2-Hispanic male, 27 years, 5’7″, 175 lbs, wearing a white T-shirt, jeans.

MUGGING WITH HANDGUN
On Sunday, 06/19/11, 3:30 AM,
complainant’s were walking east on Fairmount Ave, at 5th St. when accosted by a male with a handgun. The male demanded and took their wallet and handbags and fled west on Fairmount Ave.
The offender was described as a black male, 23 years old, 5’10”, thin build, light complexion, wearing baggy white T-shirt, blue baseball cap, baggy jean shorts.
