INCIDENTS REPORTED TO THE 6TH DISTRICT – 6/20/11 to 6/26/11

Townwatch Says: Take extra precautions and DO NOT walk around alone late at night, but travel in groups, instead. So far, armed robberies have been committed late in the evening or early morning hours when the bars let out. Be aware of the people around you if you must walk during these hours.

The below incidents in the Northern Liberties area were recently reported to the 6th District:

ROBBERY WITH HANDGUN
On Monday, 06/20/11, 11 PM,
complainant was accosted at by a male with a handgun while a second male stood nearby as a look out. Taken from the complainant was her purse, no injuries were reported.Orianna & Green Sts.
The offenders were described as black males, #1-20’s, wearing white T-shirt, jeans, #2-thin build, no additional description provided.

THEFT FROM CAR – Wheels & Rims
Between 10 PM, Tuesday, 06/21/11 and 6:45 AM, Wednesday, 06/22/11,
complainant’s 2007 BMW, parked in the 600 block N. 3rd St. had all 4 tires removed without permission and the car was left up on bricks. 6th District Officer Ditizio was unable to lift latent fingerprints due to recent rain.
