The below incidents in the Northern Liberties area were recently reported to the 6th District:

Between 5 PM, Saturday, 07/21/12 and 7:30 AM, Monday, 07/23/12, the building under construction at 616 N. American St. was entered through a window and all the wiring was cut and 9 copper bathroom diverters were taken. 6th District Officer Sweeney was unable to lift latent fingerprints due to the dust and dirt on site.

On Tuesday, 07/24/12, between 8:45 AM and 2 PM, a 2001 Ford, parked in the 800 block N. American St. was taken without permission.

On Saturday, 07/28/12, 6th District Officers issued a citation for Disorderly Conduct outside 200 Spring Garden St. at 2:40 AM.

On Saturday, 07/28/12, 2:55 AM, 6th District Officer Crichton responded to a 911 call of a theft in progress in the unit block E. Fairmount Ave. Upon arrival the officer saw a male inside a parked 1997 Lexus with a broken window. The male fled, north on Delaware and was apprehended after a foot pursuit, a pair of stolen sunglasses were recovered and returned to the owner. The 41 year old homeless offender was charged with Theft From Motor Vehicle.

    9/20/2012: Robbery/Mugging on 3rd and Poplar in front of Kaplans Bakery. African-American male 5’11” Light complexion Green eyes, white tee shirt light blue jeans Offender beat and grabbed Iphone from White male, with flannel shirt jeans and back back..and ran towards 5th st. going up Poplar st. I called police, but the victim left too. Please be careful everyone. I was in my car watching it happen with Police on the line and couldn’t do anything.
